Ferd G Burfel is the alter-ego for a completely unknown PSU student. He is fluent in English and Japanese after being a Mormon missionary in Japan for two years. Also due to his missionary experience, he enjoys biking in heavy snow.
Strengths: Plays well with others, very good at 180's on his bike in the snow. Able to eat fermented soybeans.
Weaknesses: LiveJournal, black ice.
Special Skills: Able to ingest large ammounts of processed food. Wiggles ears.
Weapons: An orange and white 1973 VW Van. With an attitude.
Pet Peeves: Stupidity, close-mindedness, arrogance, bad drivers, and the "anybody but ________" political platform.

So that IS your bus I see driving by all the time!

Yuppers. W 'll have to have you and the wiffers over when we have our next LJ party.

Nifty. Your house will look like a classic VW dealership then.

Black ice vexes me too. Slipping on it was how I broke my leg.

I'm taking this idea. Good idea.

Where in Japan were you a missionary?

Hokkaido. Northern Japan, the big island at the top.

LOL - Yes, I know where that is. :P

We're talking about doing a Japanese "freaks and geeks" party for everyone we know on LJ. If you like Japanese food, you're welcome to come. Did you live there?

I lived on Okinawa (small southern island) for almost 4 years.

Oh yeah. I'm seeming to remember that now. How'd you like it?

I loved it and would go back in an instant.

I've never been to Okinawa. I've heard it's beautiful. Do you know any Okinawan recipes?

I can't say I recall any Okinawan recipes... they tended to eat mostly traditional Japanese type food. Except for Okinawan purple sweet potatoes. :)

Sweetness. My inlaws still have their VW camper bus (one of the old, classic ones... not the newer ones), and my hubby used to have a '68 VW squareback. Type 3.

When/if we get money for another car, I want a Jetta. They're cute. =p
