I'm sitting here and copying music onto the new iMac. It's a lot of fun. I get to hear all these songs I really enjoyed in high school. For some reason, I've started to think they're cool again -- even though I couldn't stand them for a while.

Albums I will always buy

Any time I hear about a new album from any of the following bands/groups/artists/whatever, I have no qualms about buying it outright.

- Ben Folds (New album on 9/30!)
- Death Cab for Cutie
- Wilco
- Iron & Wine
- Imogen Heap

More will be added to this list at some point, I'm sure, but that's the list for now.

ETA:

Here is a list of bands that are being reviewed currently for admittance to the list. Let me know if you have any suggestions.

- The Magnetic Fields
- Rilo Kiley

VH1 was showing a Who concert last night. I flipped past it as Em and I were sitting on the couch.

Oh. My. Gosh.

I had enjoyed The Who's music in passing, but had never been a fan. As my musical tastes have changed and matured over time, I've started enjoying the more complex sound of bands like The Who. It's like really good indypop.

Now I just need to get me some albums.
